About

A Deltaville name on the side of the barge.

Haywood Marine Construction is run by Vaughan Haywood. When you call, you talk to the person who will look at your shoreline and build the job.

The Haywood Marine work barge with its name on the side and an excavator on deck

How we work

Built from the water, one shoreline at a time.

Haywood Marine Construction is a marine contractor based at 16841 General Puller Hwy in Deltaville. The work is the kind every waterfront property on the Middle Peninsula eventually needs: a pier out to deeper water, a bulkhead that holds the yard, stone to stop the bank from washing away, and a lift to keep the boat out of the water.

Most of it is done from the company’s own barge. An excavator rides on deck, a push boat moves it from job to job, and pilings, lumber and stone come in by water. That keeps trucks and machines off your lawn, and it means the crew can reach lots that have no good land access at all.

The photos on this site are Haywood Marine’s own, taken on the job and posted to the company’s Facebook page.

“Top notch, no one better out there. Thank you Vaughn!!”

  4. 4

We build it from the water
